Everything wrong about a picture

This is a shot I took yesterday of Joss Bay near Margate. I'm sharing this photograph because of the frustration yesterday brought with it. The weather was changeable to say the least; if snow had started tumbling from the skies I'd have accepted it.
This picture presents all the failings of landscape which refuses to fall into line: fast-moving sunshine racing across the shot, messy sand, uneven and unbalanced clouds, uneven sky tones, the list goes on.
The point with this upload is to show that sometimes everything's going to go against you and there's not a thing you can do to avoid it. Best to shrug your shoulders and try something different.

I think this location has so much more to offer though. Keen documentary pappers will love the candid portrait opportunities of the surf school and shop. Those interested in graphics will love the flags, signs and lines of perspective to be found all mixed up together. Fans of textures will relish the soft sand, pebbles and concrete on show, not to mention the fabulous cliffs.
It's a wonderful place, Joss Bay. Well worth a visit. I think for best results though, get there early while the sand is still fresh.
